ST ANTHONY PLACE

St Anthony Place is located in the Parish Center, lower level (go through the wrought-iron gate). St Anthony Place is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 10:00 A.M. to Noon and on Tuesday and  Thursday from 1:00-3:00 P.M.

St Anthony Place is staffed by volunteers and serves individuals and families from the Tri-State area. Volunteers provide our less fortunate neighbors with non-perishable food items, household and personal care items. With a referral from the Department of Social Service or in conjunction with other agencies, we are able to assist with perishable food items and contribute toward rent, utility bills, over-the counter medicine, diapers, formula, and household and personal care items.

We are constantly in need of items to replenish the shelves in St Anthony Place. Items for  St Anthony Place may be brought to the Parish Center, Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.  The third Sunday of each month is designated as “FOOD SUNDAY”. It is on that Sunday that we are encouraged to bring items to Church and place them at the altar as a symbol of our thanksgiving for the blessings we have received.

If you would like to volunteer time to this Parish Outreach Program, please call the Parish Office, 301-777-3131 and someone from St Anthony Place  will get back to you.

In 2003, St Anthony Place assisted 1,558 families (an increase of 268 families over 2002) and 5,247 individuals.
